Children’s Worship at KUMC
Sunday Gatherings:
Every Sunday, our young worshippers begin the service with the congregation. Before proceeding to their Sunday School, they unite with everyone in reciting the Lord’s Prayer.
Communion:
Educated about the significance of Holy Communion, the children participate by receiving communion on the first Sunday of each month. We offer the unfermented fruit of the vine to ensure it’s suitable for all.
Special Performances:
This Easter, our young ones added their delightful touch, accompanying the choir with handbells. They also showcased their talents by singing two new songs this year.
Learning with Purpose
Sunday School:
The “Deep Blue” series, an esteemed United Methodist curriculum, guides our Sunday School lessons. Through engaging Bible stories, interactive activities, and soulful songs, the children immerse themselves in the Word.
Serving with Heart
Reaching Out:
Instilling the values of love and service, our children have dedicated their Sunday offerings to the Berlin Children’s Fund. This Lent, they took an extra step, preparing sewing kits for the United Methodist Committee on Relief.
Commitment to Safety
Safe Sanctuaries Policy:
Years ago, KUMC embraced the Safe Sanctuaries policy, ensuring all children are shielded from any potential harm. Beyond established procedures, our dedicated teachers and caregivers have undergone specialized training, earning their Safe Sanctuary certification.
